Hi everyone... I've been lurking on this board for awhile looking into all the information you guys have on here, while trying to decide what I wanted to do with my ITR. Well, last Friday I got my car back from Dynospot Racing in San Jose, and I'm extremely happy with the results. I went with the Hondata setup and on Lawrence's advice (who was awesome through the whole ordeal answering all my stupid questions) am pushing 7 psi at the moment. When I get to TX next month and am no longer bound by the lame 91 octance that we have in CA, I'm planning to up it to 9 psi. Is there an MVM pulley that I can use for this?
Here's my dyno plot, let me know what you guys think. I haven't seen many ITRs with this boost level, so I'm not sure how it compares, but it pulls like crazy all the way from 3k to redline in every gear. Runs like stock off-boost too, and even with RC 440cc injectors, the idle is rock solid. I've still got the stock exhaust on there, so I imagine that I'm missing out on a bit of power because of that. Any suggestions on an exhaust to get? I really don't want anything loud, so I'm probably going to put an order in for the Hytech header-back (I have the Kamikaze w/2.5 collector), even though I hear it'll take a LOOONG time for me to get it. Allright, this is getting long, so I'll stop for now...I also want to say thanks to JRCivic and RBoosted for all the info that you guys have posted in the past years. I've read a ton of your posts and found them extremely informative.

cool stuff man.
the itr motor isn't the most common to supercharge.
I would think there would be some good gains
to be had with some cam gear tuning!
dial out any overlap that was put in there for
that crazy allmotor engine! hehe.

that looks really nice. my ITR is jrsc'd as well, but only at stock 5psi boost levels and i LOVE it. the perfect addition to an R as it gives it all the things the motor was lacking. grunt.

My Type "R" stepper pulley adds approximately 2-2.5 psi to your current boost level. They are in stock and ready to ship.

I know a lot of jrsc gsr owners run the stock itr exhaust and still make a lot of power. Maybe you should avoid the hassle and leave it alone?

Thanks for the responses, guys. So I'm guessing that having the stock ITR exhaust isn't that big of a restriction then? The guy who tuned my car said that I'd be gaining quite a bit of power if I lost it and went to something bigger. I just didn't want something that'd be really loud and annoying, so I opted to stay stock until I could get around to ordering a Hytech...

the stock typeR exhaust is pretty good.
its 2.25" piping, that is mostly mandrel bent..
but it does need some modifying to really take advantage imo.
reason is that there are a couple points where it just dips down to like alittle over 2"..
so you need to remove these restrictions.

if your going to order hytech, better do it atleast 10-12 months before you want to get it. thats how long his wait is. i'm STILL waiting on mine and i ordered it last march i think...i'm SUPPOSED to get it next week, we'll see tho.

Heh, yeah...that's one of the reasons I've been holding off on the Hytech. I figured maybe I would find a better solution at some point. At any rate, I ordered the MVM Pulley today (BTW, the guy I talked to on the phone was awesome, I'm assuming that was Jim), so I should probably start looking a little harder into exhausts if I'm going to be upping the boost...it feels like it's choking a little bit as is. Anyone had good luck with a custom muffler shop setup? Are there other twin-loop (or whatever you want to call them) type muffler setups aside from Hytech and Mugen? Being that for the next 3+ years I'll be spending a lot of time driving around on military bases I'd prefer to keep the car as quiet as possible.
